To give consent, from the verb to consent, is to accept voluntarily, without physical or psychological violence. Consent is not given out of fear or apprehension but in a free and informed manner, accompanied by a sense of security.
The consent of each person is everyone's business. We are all responsible for ensuring the consent of others when we participate in sexual activity, or other types of activity.
