A canoe trip to recharge and build connections
As part of the Indigenous Women on the Path to Well-Being program, the Montreal Women’s Centre collaborated with Projets Autochtones du Québec to offer a unique activity: a rabaska canoe outing on Île Saint-Bernard.
On September 3rd, participants had the opportunity to come together, share experiences, and enjoy a rejuvenating moment in nature. Laughter, songs, and conversations punctuated the expedition, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
By accompanying the women during this activity, the program’s facilitators were able to build meaningful connections in a setting different from the usual meetings.
A wonderful way to gently close the summer while strengthening the sense of solidarity among women.
