Marche du pain et des roses
On May 26, 1995, hundreds of women set out on the Bread and Roses March, walking over 200 km from Montreal to Quebec City to denounce, among other things, the poverty and violence experienced by women. Organized by the Fédération des femmes du Québec, this mobilization was a landmark moment in the history of feminism in Quebec.
This Thursday, May 29, 30 years later, we invite you to commemorate this foundational march with a gathering at the Raymond-Préfontaine Park chalet, starting at 5 p.m.
A moment of remembrance, solidarity, and action.
