Standing Together: A Look Back at the International Women’s Day Activity Organized at the Centre

Last Monday, we welcomed around twenty participants for an awareness-raising activity with the theme of “Standing Together, Always.” It was a powerful moment where we revisited our collective heritage, analyzed ongoing oppressions, and reflected on solutions to build an equal future.

Program Highlights:

> The history of colonization and patriarchy, along with the legacy of feminist struggles – A reminder of the progress and challenges that remain.

> Intersectional feminism – Understanding how various forms of oppression (sexism, racism, classism, ableism, transphobia, weight stigma …) intersect and reinforce each other.

> Workplace inequalities – Discussions on wage equity, work-life balance, and women’s representation in leadership positions.

> A collective reflection on actions to change mindsets – A space where each participant shared their reality and vision. The importance of gender-neutral education from an early age, raising boys’ awareness of women’s realities, and including men in the solution were key points highlighted.

A heartfelt thank you to all the participants for their testimonies and engagement, as well as to the organizing committee for their invaluable work. These discussions remind us that solidarity is our greatest strength.

Let's keep defending our rights, together!
