Centre paid tribute to the 14 victims of the Polytechnique feminicide of December 6 1989.
On this special day, December 6, the Centre paid tribute to the 14 victims of the Polytechnique feminicide of December 6, 1989.
The commemoration began with an awareness-raising session, during which participants discussed violence against women through the screening of short films.
This was followed by a reading of "Pourtant je m'élève", a poem by writer and activist Maya Angelou.
The morning tribute ended with the traditional ceremony of the 14 loops, a symbolic gesture in memory of the 14 women who lost their lives.
Many thanks to all participants. Today and tomorrow, let's join forces to fight violence against women!
