Prevention and Awareness Sessions: Domestic and Intimate Partner Violence and Sexual Assault

We have been mandated by the Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Diversité et de l’Inclusion (Direction des services de francisation) to provide free information sessions to our francization groups on the topic of domestic and intimate partner violence and sexual assault. The approach to explaining how these issues are perceived and dealt with in Quebec is a simple and straightforward one, with a focus on the position embraced by government authorities, as well as the consequences for offenders and the resources available to victims.

Duration: 2 hours per session (days, Monday through Friday)

Target audience: Level 3 French class students (or as needed for other levels) and newcomers (men and women) who are already fluent in French
